Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Alfardan Properties currently has a vacancy for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement strategic plans for the organization's IT infrastructure in alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Assess current infrastructure capabilities, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, ensuring availability, reliability, and performance meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs).
• Conduct regular assessments and audits of infrastructure components, identifying and addressing any issues or vulnerabilities.
• Implement proactive monitoring and maintenance practices to prevent downtime and minimize disruptions to business operations.
• Coordinate, and execute infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server migrations, and data center expansions.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess project requirements, mitigate risks, and resolve technical challenges.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services.
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT infrastructure.
• Conduct regular testing and updates to ensure preparation for potential disruptions.
• Enforce security policies, procedures, and controls to protect the organization's infrastructure assets and data.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to infrastructure security and data privacy.

Experience & Knowledge Requirements:

• Experience with switching VLANS, ACL's.
• Experience with routers, firewalls, and other network devices (e.g. Cisco, PA, Juniper, etc.).
• Experience with wireless networking standards & technologies (e.g. Wi-Fi 6, WPA3).
• Experience of cloud services and networking in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Technical awareness in IP phone systems (e.g. Cisco, Avaia)
• Experience with data center management
• Experience with active directory management
• Experience with Hyper-V VMware
• Experience with servers HW, OS management.

Experience & Knowledge Requirements:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA)
• Fortinet Network Security Specialist (NSE 6)
• Or any relevant certificate

 Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
