Tool Room Clerk

Summary:
The Tool Room Clerk at an Automotive Dealer is responsible for ensuring the availability, maintenance, and organization of tools and equipment used in the service department.

Job Responsibility:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all tools and equipment in the tool room
- Monitor the condition of tools and arrange for repairs or replacements as needed
- Issue tools to technicians and other staff members as per the established procedures
- Keep the tool room clean, organized, and accessible at all times
- Track tool usage and report any discrepancies or shortages
- Assist in the ordering and receiving of new tools and equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines related to tool usage

Candidate Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an automotive dealership
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic tools and equipment used in automotive repair
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Good communication skills and a cooperative attitude
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
